This Ramadan the days will be extremely long especially here in Norway, making it quite challenging to keep the energy level high. On the other hand, children will be having normal days complaining about boredom, fighting with the siblings or simply getting on parents’ nerves 😜 Every time i have to remind them that its Ramadan and they should avoid fights and arguments. But giving reminders 30 times a day can drain your energy, leaving you tired and irritated.
So this year i thought of putting all those reminders on the wall. No more verbal reminders, saving more energy for more productive tasks 😉
I will be adding more reminders if needed. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala make us productive in this Ramadan and make us steadfast upon the good that we achieve during this blessed month.
Finally done with this year’s Ramadan calendar, Allhamdulillah. Making the calendar is always fun and easy but what i find most challenging is the content. It will take me a lot of time to find the right fill for each child.
Just like last year, i saw a lot of pictures for inspiration, but this design suits me best. I do not fill the calendar till the day it has to be opened because my younger one (5) would try to open all at once 🙂 This calendar has good space to put in money, candies or ‘Quran verse of the day’ for three children.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala make our efforts successful and may He make our children love their deen and be steadfast. Ameen.
This article on productivemuslim.com really inspired me to make an I’tikaf tent for my children.
I bought this children’s tent from Ikea, which i decorated with a ‘I’tikaf Tent’ sign on the outside and placed cushions, comforter, books and a USB-lamp inside.
The idea is to tell the children about this Sunnah and to make them take a break from their screens and focus only on Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, even if it is for 5 minutes every day. They can read the Qur’an, recite any surah they have memorized, do dhikr, read their favorite Islamic book or just lie down and take a break from dunya.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala accept our efforts and make us of the righteous ones. Ameen.
